Levitra acts in the
same way as Viagra, by blocking an enzyme called
phosphodiesterase-5, or PDE-5. This helps the
smooth muscles in the penis to relax, which
effectively increases blood flow. Thus, allowing
the penis to become and stay harder longer.
HOW TO TAKE THIS MEDICATION:
Take a Levitra
tablet about 25 to 60 minutes before sexual
activity. With sexual stimulation you may achieve
an erection anywhere from 25 minutes up to four to
five hours after taking Levitra. Swallow one
tablet with a glass of water. You can take Levitra
with or without food - but preferably not after a
heavy or high-fat meal.
SIDE
EFFECTS:
As with most
prescription medications, taking Levitra may
produce side effects. The most commonly reported
side effects of Levitra were headache,flushing,
dyspepsia (indigestion), and nasal congestion.
PRECAUTIONS:
Do not use Levitra
more than once a day. Men who take too much
Levitra may experience more side effects or may
get severe back pain. If you take more Levitra
than you should, tell your doctor.
DRUG
INTERACTIONS:

medication you may use, especially any nitrate
medications (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide
dinitrate), nitroprusside (any "nitric oxide
donor" medicines), cimetidine, erythromycin, azole

mibefradil, rifamycins (e.g., rifampin) or high
blood pressure medicines.
